O&B Recap

2016 O&B Recap

The 17th Annual Orange & Black Ball, presented by Tuleburg, was another huge success for the Pacific Athletic Foundation (PAF). This year’s event attracted 633 attendees and our early estimates total the gross to be $190,000 while netting roughly $100,000 for our Pacific student-athletes! The money raised will support the PAF Impact Fund, sport-specific operations, and the Janssen-Lagorio Performance Center.

In addition to the night’s festivities, the evening was highlighted by the announcement of a $1 million gift generously donated by Kathleen and Dean Janssen to assist in the construction of a state-of-the-art performance center added onto the Janssen-Lagorio Gymnasium. The gift is one of the most significant given to the Athletics Department in the university’s history and is scheduled to open in the spring of 2017. A crowdfunding campaign kicked off that night as well and generated an additional $14,905 contributed towards the new construction.

Thank you again to everyone who was able to contribute to the Orange and Black Ball through bidding on auction items, participating in the fund-a-need campaign, or by attending the event. The event would not be a success without the involvement from all of our supporters.
