The Pacific Men’s Basketball program invites you to join them as they tip-off the 2017-18 season with a luncheon at Brookside Country Club on Wednesday, November 1st from 11:00am-1:00pm highlighted by special guest speaker and the 17th overall pick in the 1992 NBA draft, Doug Christie.
Christie played 15 seasons in the NBA including stints with the Los Angeles Lakers (’93-’94), New York Knicks (’94-’96), Toronto Raptors (’96-’00), Sacramento Kings (’00-’05), Orlando Magic (’05), Dallas Mavericks (’05) and the Los Angeles Clippers (’07). He is the Toronto Raptors all-time leader in steals, was selected to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in 2003 and was a 3x NBA All-Defensive Second Team member in 2001, 2002, and 2004. As a student-athlete at Pepperdine, Christie was named the WCC Player of the Year in 1991 and 1992.
The cost to attend is $50.00 per person. Guests will enjoy a buffet style lunch and hear from head coach Damon Stoudamire as he introduces each of his players and gives a preview of the upcoming season.
