PAF Launches New Campaign to Raise An Additional $10,000 by February 2015

The Pacific Athletic Foundation (PAF) Board is excited to announce a new short-term campaign to raise $10,000 by February 5. The “100 for $100 Campaign” is targeted at finding 100 new donors at the $100 or higher level.

“This is a great opportunity to grow our donor base and increase PAF visibility in the community”, said Wilson Yu, PAF Board President. “We have set a vision for the Board and this project will help to set the foundation for the PAF to raise a lot more money in the long-run.”

This fiscal year, the PAF has currently raised $315,000 which includes 400 PAF Members. The Board, which serves as a fundraising committee for the PAF, will use the 100 for $100 Campaign to grow that number. Currently, the Board has 25 Members that includes an Executive Board made up of Wilson Yu – Board President, Lee Neves, Kristen Dyke, Duane Isetti, Rick Paulsen, and Vince Rosato.

The monies raised during the campaign will go into the PAF Impact Fund, an enhancement/reinvestment fund that was established to enhance the lives of Pacific student-athletes and provide a transparent way to show donors just how their donations have been utilized. For example, last year the PAF successfully raised $375,000, meaning $125,000 was above and beyond the Base Scholarship Obligation owed to the University. Combined with designated Marketing & Ticket Revenue, the PAF Impact Fund totaled $175,000 and that money was used to complete a number of projects including the following:

 1)      Installation of the Sparta Technology System for Enhanced Weight Training

2)      Enhanced Recruiting Funds for all Pacific Coaches

3)      Installation of Water Filtration Stations for Student-Athletes

4)      Student-Athlete Swipe Card Access/Video Security System for the Athletic Department Building

By raising an additional $10,000 during the 100 for $100 Campaign, the PAF will be able to provide much-needed funds to help with the renovation and upgrade of the equipment and flooring in the Pacific Weight Room.

“This is a great time to get involved with the PAF, said Chris Lynn, Executive Director of the PAF. The PAF Impact Fund is great because it gives our donors an opportunity to see where their money is going and the impact it is making for Pacific student-athletes. If we raise $10,000 during this campaign it will give us the opportunity to make some major changes to our Weight Training Facility which will ultimately help our athletes to be more successful in competition, particularly in rugged WCC conference play.”

Donations to the 100 for $100 Campaign are not restricted to $100. Donors can give at any level during this mini-campaign and also still earn the Right-to-Buy premium season tickets for Men’s Basketball in Sections H, I or J at the $750 level (two tickets) or $1,500 level (four tickets). The PAF donation for the Right-to-Buy would count toward this mini-campaign goal of $10,000.
